Oslo, Norway - the swing that took a week to make.
to find me: go past Spock’s abode, along the river and through the woods to your Caribbean grandmother’s house…
we found wood, drilled holes at Bildende Kunstneres Styre (an art collective), painted the swing and thought of an idea for the words at Haus Mania over the course of 8 hours with wonderful souls…  and then the quest for the perfect spot began.  4 days later, it was found…  and what seemed like it would be a quick hanging became quite the task when the holes were just a tiny bit too small for the rope.  after 3 hours of work and a lot of help from a few handy ladies, i tried a second time to hang the swing unsuccessfully…  i waited until morning and tried again using tape and pliers, provided by one of my Couch surfing hosts, and we had a success!  Oslo now has a swing (although the rope does rub against the rope a little bit, it works!)  :) many thanks to ALL the different people who walked around with me and helped me with this project here.

Quit your job. Buy a ticket. Get a tan.  Fall in love. Never return.  (credit on image)
This is kind of how my one-way tickets have worked this last year :-P

Be a hill seeker.  Life happens on the hills.  They’re opportunities to prove to yourself that you’re stronger than you ever imagined.  If you never attempt the ascent, you’ll never know the thrill of swooshing down the other side…

this is kind of how I felt when I graduated from Georgia Tech.

#peace #love and #happiness… what do you #live for?  captured on a beach by a lake in Norway near Mo i Rana today… after some cave surveying in a very tight, cold cave I found a rock with a heart on it (glauconite in marble I believe, according to the professor…I’ll ask him again later to confirm).  As I was photographing it I noticed that the rock next to me actually looked like a smiley face.
Of course, I bet no one will reblog this because people only reblog the mass-produced over-photoshopped images (I used one edit on this to try and fix the contrasting resulting from actually taking this myself, outside) with words on them, instead of photos people take themselves…
but yea, peace, love and happiness! <3 :)
